Women's Blazers

Why Classic Six Blazers Stand Out

When we set out to design the Katharine, we wanted the authority of a double-breasted jacket without the bulk that usually comes attached to it. So we cut it slim through the chest and waist, kept the shoulder soft, and let contrasting ivory piping and a felt under-collar carry the detail. What you get is definition through the body and ease everywhere else.

Fabric did the other half of the work. Our signature ponte de Roma is a double knit, dense enough to hold a lapel and a clean shoulder, with enough give that our women's blazers move the way knitwear moves.

Why you'll keep reaching for it:

  • A slim cut that stays soft. The double-breasted front gives the jacket presence without stiffness, so the lapel lays flat to the chest and the hem drapes cleanly over trousers, denim, or a skirt.

  • Ponte de Roma knit, all year. A premium knit that resists wrinkles and skips the dry cleaner. The same women's blazer works through every season, no storage swaps, no re-pressing after a week in the closet.

  • Styling range from one piece. The Katharine layers over dresses, tees, and knitwear, or as a structured top worn on its own. The construction holds in both configurations, which means you're getting two garments' worth of use from one jacket.

  • Unlined and built to layer. We left the lining out on purpose. The result is a blazer that wears lighter on the body, moves freely through the arms and shoulders, and layers over shirts and sweaters without adding bulk or stiffness.

Meet the Classic Six Blazers Collection

The Katharine shares the same double-breasted construction across both colors, with ivory contrast piping along the edges, a felt under-collar, grosgrain trim, and custom antiqued-gold buttons that catch light without feeling costume-y.

So, how does our double-breasted blazer for women compare?

Katharine Double-Breasted Blazer in Navy

The deep navy carries a richness that looks more dimensional than flat black, with enough depth to work across both light and dark pieces without overpowering either one. Cut in ponte de Roma knit (67% rayon, 28% nylon, 5% spandex), the fabric stretches with your day and recovers its shape overnight.

Unlined for breathability, the navy Katharine softens the formality of a double-breasted silhouette and makes it easy to wear on days that don't call for full business dress.

Katharine Double-Breasted Blazer in Black

The black Katharine gives the blazer its most polished expression. The ivory piping, the gold buttons, and the felt collar all stand out sharper against the black ground, which is part of what makes this version the one that gets noticed first.

Same ponte de Roma knit, same unlined construction, same comfort, but the black colorway creates a more defined, more commanding silhouette. A women's double-breasted blazer in black becomes the starting point of whatever you build around it.

FAQ

The Katharine runs double-breasted but slim, and it isn't cut to sit fitted, so most women stay with their usual size. Size up if you fall between two or plan to layer knits underneath, and compare our flat garment measurements against a blazer already hanging in your closet.

Dry clean as needed, or machine wash separately in cold water on a delicate cycle, ideally inside a mesh bag, with no bleach and no dryer. Reshape it, hang it to dry, and steam on a low setting if it needs a touch-up.

Most tailoring at this level arrives lined and woven, which is part of why it creases by lunch and needs pressing before it goes back on. Ours holds its shape in an unlined ponte knit, with the felt under-collar, grosgrain trim, and custom buttons doing the finishing work.

Length grades along with the size run, from roughly 26.8 inches at the high shoulder point on a size 0 to 30 inches on a size 14, which keeps the proportion consistent as the blazer scales up. Petite frames should measure that length against a jacket they own, since a double-breasted closure sits lower on a shorter torso.

Yes. Ponte de Roma is a seasonless knit, and going unlined keeps it comfortable through spring and early fall, then slim enough to layer under a wool coat once the temperature drops.
